just katie specializes in unique hand-crafted and one-of-a-kind jewelry. The company is operated solely by me, Katie Pegher, the designer and manufacturer of each piece. I maintain justkatiedesigns.com also... contributing all photos, descriptions, emails, order processing and shipping. It is my foremost desire that you LOVE the items you receive and ensure the utmost dedication to design, quality workmanship, and customer service.

Payments
I accept credit cards, e-checks and other payments made with Paypal. Although, it is not necessary for you to have a Paypal account to use my site. Paypal is the safest way to pay online, so you can feel secure shopping with just katie.
Note: If you choose to pay by e-check with Paypal, it takes approximately 4 business days for the check to clear. Once it does, just katie will ship your order.
Shipping Schedule for US orders
Generally all in-stock items will ship within 1-3 business days via USPS First Class or Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. You may choose to add insurance to your order for an additonal fee based on the USPS insurance scale. If you need your item sooner, email me with questions and I can ship your items USPS Express Mail (overnight to most destinations) for an additional charge.
International Orders
just katie is happy to ship your items internationally!
I process all international orders once a week via USPS Air Mail. All international orders must be insured. Please add katie@justkatiedesigns.com to your email address book so you are sure to receive all emails regarding your order.
*Keep in mind that you are required to pay all duties, customs charges, or other fees when you receive your order. All customs forms are marked "merchandise" and claim the actual amount of the package (it's the law :).
Cleaning and Maintenance of just katie jewelry
It is important that you care for your jewelry properly to keep it dazzling! I guarantee the workmanship of my jewelry for as long as you own it and would be happy to assist you should you have any problems. In most cases, there will be no charge for maintenance done on the jewelry unless a majority of material needs to be replaced. Costs for repairs will be determined on a case-by-case basis. As long as you are caring for your just katie pieces properly, they should not need much additonal attention.
The safest way to clean your pieces would be to fill a dish with extra hot water and add a few drops of dishwashing liquid (like Palmolive or Dawn) and let your piece soak in it for 10 minutes or so. You'll notice the water turning a muddy grey color. When the water is cooled enough to touch, remove the piece, rinse and pat dry with a paper towel. Any heavily soiled pieces can be cleaned more thoroughly by gently scrubbing them with the hot soapy water and an old toothbrush after the soaking step. Or, you can always mail your piece to just katie for a professional cleaning.
*Because many types of stones and pearls are used in the pieces - DO NOT use any ammonia-based jewelry cleaners or anti-tarnish liquids or compounds on your items! They can damage the softer natural stones and pearls!

Returns
I love happy clients so if you are unsatisfied with your purchase, most* items can be returned for a refund or exhange. Arrangements for refunds or exchanges must be made within 14 days of purchase date. In order to correctly process your return you must first email just katie for instructions. All items must be returned unused and in perfect condition.
*Keep in mind that one-of-a-kind items may not be exchanged for the same item, but may be exchanged for a different item. Custom designs are not returnable.
Refunds will only be made to the same method of payment used to process your order. You are responsible for all shipping costs in returning the item to just katie. Original shipping and handling fees will not be refunded.

just katie promises to keep your personal information private. When you register as a justkatiedesigns.com user, your account information will be stored in a secure place. I know I hate getting telemarketing phone calls and credit card junk mail... I'd never subject my clients to it! :)
