About Katie
Meet Katie PegherA Pennsylvania native, Katie earned a bachelor of science degree from Penn State University in May 2000. It was there she was introduced to making jewelry, taking three years of metalsmithing purely as an elective. It was not until after graduating and trying her hand at both marketing and management careers, that she recognized jewelry as her calling. Her dream job entailed three things: engaging her creativity on a daily basis, crafting a product line with her own hands, and marketing it in a way that was reflective of her personality.
just katie began in 2002 in various living rooms across central Pennsylvania. Home parties were the first step. She has since expanded her business to include: fine art festivals across the eastern and midwestern US. She has also added select galleries and day spas to her distribution and participated in trunk shows at large retailers like Bloomingdales.
In 2005, Katie launched a Bridal Collection and also began creating custom work for many brides and their attendants.
Then in 2006, her website, www.justkatiedesigns.com underwent a complete redesign. Now a fully integrated online store, Katie is able to share her work worldwide.
In 2007, good fortune took Katie, her husband Phil, and their yellow lab Roxy to the Chesapeake Bay a'la the Eastern Shore of MD. Surrounded by water and sunshine - Katie is immersed in inspiration. In August 2008 she and Phil welcomed a baby boy, Luke Richard.“I’d like to think the jewelry I create is a reflection of all the busy women I’ve come to know in my life. Spirited, distinctive, and of course, stylish.”
